Falsification of History

The Golan historic sites indicate that the region had been inhabited ever since the Stone Age, and that stone tools in the pre-historic ages have been invented in that area. The Golan monuments indicate continuity in civilization. Discovered monuments belonged to the different pre-historic, Ammorite, Aramean, Anbatian, Ghassanian, Islamic and contemporary stages through which Syria went through. The excavations of stone tools going back to pre-historic ages, confirm that the region has been inhabited ever since the stone age. The historical remains indicate that the Golan was the passage way from Damascus to Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. There are many mobile finds, such as pottery, glass, metal, textile, jewels, ivory, weapons, minting and others. Such finds date back to various periods starting with the Stone Age right up to the Islamic Ages. There are many remains still in place, such as military buildings; fortress and castles, palaces, an ancient playground, an ancient amphitheater and bathes of Alhimmeh, mills of olive and grapes, stone grinders, pre-historic symetries, the Temple of Pan the God of Shepherds in Banias, the Old Syrianian Syrian Church in Kafr Nassej and others.There are buildings used as hostels (khans) for the trade caravans, the foremost of which are Khan Asheeh, Khan Arnabeh and Khan Alqunaitra. Such Khans were basic stops on the Damascus - Jerusalem - Egypt Road. The most important of the Golan antiquities is the Assabeebeh Castle; 550 M long, 30 M wide and 300 M above the sea and overlooking the Harmon.Further, There are many pre-historic symetries, the foremost of which are Rajm Alherri and Ashab’aniyeh Grave Yard.

Israel, however, ever Since its occupation of the Syrian Golan, june4th 1967, Zionism has spared no effort to integrate Golan history into Zionism. And for this purpose, 10s of scientific research centers have been set up in different parts of the world. These centers aimed at deforming all data of Arab history and culture through rewriting the history of the Arab from Zionist literature.

Immediately upon its occupation of the Golan, Israel started mass excavations on the Golan. But instead of finding Jewish remains, it unearthed abundant traces of cultures of Syrian Arab origin, from different ages. Thus, through the power of money, information and the Jewish organizing, Israel's trying to integrate the Golan history into its own.

Israel has clearly violated the UN charter calling for the preservation of the demographic and topographic status of the occupied territories, and has been excavating and plundering the Golan monuments. It is quite regrettable that many European and American Foundations, such as the Palestine Exploration Fund (Lomond), the Memorial Foundation for the Jewish Culture of New York, the National Research Center of France, Catherine, Leonardo and Lee Fund of Oxford, Britain, have contributed to such excavation campaigns which are internationally condemned. By contributing to the Israeli efforts in deforming the Golan history. Such great scientific foundations are committing a double crime; encouraging the occupier to continue its occupation by supporting its ideological myths, and assisting it in the theft and pillaging the occupied territories monuments.
