Arab Newspapers Criticize the UN Report CAPITALS, Oct. 22 ( SANA) Lebanese ad-Diyar newspapers on Saturday criticized the UN report stressing that “ day of the report was not day of the truth.” “Conclusions were implied in the report depended on testimony of a number of Lebanese politicians and unknown witness in addition to the fabricated story of Zheor al-Seddiq.” The paper said. “ The report doesn’t present material evidences on its claims against Syria but it replaces it by testimonies of witnesses like those who fabricated story of the Iraqi mass destruction weapons.” It added. The paper concluded by saying that the Arab world now is required to firmly stand by Syria and support her to face what she is exposed to currently. UAE paper al-Itihad said the report came full of mysteries. It seems as if it is a court sentence which results are commendable. The paper warned that the report is dangerous and will escalate tension in the middle East and put more pressures on Syria and Lebanon . Tunisian al-Chorouk newspaper considered the report as unworthy to be a base for taking punishing measures against Syria but rather it’s a politicized and directed for finding justification to completely put hands on Syria and Lebanon . In Tehran Iranian mass media and papers raised doubts about the report considering it connected with US project to pressure Syria and oblige her to comply to the US and western demands. The United States exploits the report and uses it as an arm to tighten pressure on Syria . it may be an introduction to a political, judiciary and diplomatic work to make the future of the Arab world and Middle East region move in service of the Israeli and western interests.
