A Syrian official sources voiced regret over an earlier Saudi Official source statement regarding statements made by the Syrian Vice President, Mr. Farouk Sharaa.
The Syrian source noted that Mr. Sharaa Statements were distorted, asserting, however, Syria’s determination as not to be dragged into debates which only would serve the enemies of both brotherly countries and the enemies of the Arab Nation.
The source pointed out that the allegations regarding Mr. Sharaa’s use of abusive words against the Saudi Kingdom are groundless, reiterating the Syrian keenness, leadership as well as people, on the continuation of the best relations with the leadership of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom, as well as with the brotherly Saudi people , and on working together as to bridge the gaps in the Arab-Arab relations reactivating them in the face of the grave challenges against the region security and stability.
The Syrian source underlined the Syrian well-known persistent strenuous efforts in the interest of an Arab active solidarity as well as of narrowing gaps among the views of different Palestinian factions.
The Source held the aggressive US-Israeli stance the responsibility of the non continuation of the Mecca Accord between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority Chairman asserting that Syria , because of her Arab commitment, has been the target for political and media campaigns , citing the great burden and responsibility shouldered by Syria receiving no less than a million and half of the Iraqi Refugees following the occupation of Iraq with its catastrophic consequences.
" The fraternity among the Saudi and Syrian people is genuine, and has survived throughout crises and difficulties , as the Saudi Statement states, and Syria is to ever remain for whatever meeting aiming at the revitalization and bolstering of Arab solidarity in the national interest of both brotherly states, and of the entire Arab and Islamic Nation." Concluded the Syrian Source.
