Syria Denounces Statement of Lebanese MP Hariri Damascus, October 22, (SANA) Radio Damascus denounced on Saturday the TV statement of Lebanese MP Saad Hariri on the UN investigating report on Hariri Assassination saying it contradicts with inclinations of his father towards Syria. “ follower of what his words implied of accusations and provocations against Syria will denounce them. The easiest saying about them is that they contradict with the spirit and inclinations of the late Rafik al-Hariri who remained till the last moment of his life alliance and friend to Syria,” the radio commentary said. The radio noted the Hariri statement came to cry with those who are screaming day and night in Lebanon to stage a campaign of fabrications and false accusations against Syria. “ Saad has made the impression that he is speaking on behalf of the Lebanese state and the Lebanese people and gave himself the right of custody and interference in others affaires as well to make division among the Syria people sons and their leadership, “ the radio said. It depicted the position of Lebanese MP Hariri as a “ flagrant inference,” and “rejected provocation,” and asked how could a man like Mr. Saad who is just a MP in Lebanon to speak about a sovereign state that gave the Lebanese people all effort and support to build his civil peace and to keep his security and stability. The commentary noted that Syria has experienced a lot of these slander campaigns that staged against her and known that not everything said is expressing the truth. “ The real aim of this campaign has no relation to the investigating committee nor to the investigation result of the report which was politicized, biased and lacking the simplest legal and criminal proves despite of what Syria has made of full cooperation with the committee,” the radio said. It noted that the U.S. and Israeli positions that followed the report were directly clear in their accusations to Syria and this is not new. “ The campaign of accusations against Syria are part of this campaign which is wanted by Syria’s enemies to damage Syria and her pan-Arab and national role in Lebanon,” the radio said.
