DAMASCUS, (SANA)- Information Minister Dr. Mohsen Bilal has underlined that the Israeli occupation of Syrian Golan, Palestine and Lebanese Sheba farms and Kafr Shouba Hills is the main reason of problems in the Middle East, warning that the failure of peace process will aggravate these problems.

In a televised interview to the Lebanese Satellite channel of al-Manar broadcast yesterday, Bilal renewed Syria's commitment to the just and comprehensive peace based on the Security Council relevant resolutions, land for peace principle and Arab peace initiative.

Bilal indicated that Syria knows well what it wants regarding its situation and its pan-Arab and national issue, pointing out to Syria's two stances, the national stance which is represented by the work to restore occupied Golan and the pan-Arab stance that represented by supporting our brothers in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq.

The Minister added that all attempts to isolate Syria have failed which have resulted in the recent visits by the American and European delegations to Syria for the dialogue on the regional issues.

"Syria wants a secure Iraq, unified land and independent people and wants stability and prosperity to our brothers in Iraq, asserting Syria's readiness for offering all the possible aid to Iraq," Bilal said regarding the Iraqi issue.
