Mehlis Report is Contrary to Truth, Political and Has no Evidences, Officials Say CAPITALS, Oct. 21 (SANA) The UN report on the investigation on the killing of a former Lebanese Premier is 100 percent political report based on allegations by witnesses known for their hostility to Syria, Information Minister Mehdi Dakhlallah underlined Friday. " Content of the report contradicts the simplest essential conditions and methods of investigation in a big cause and no honest court can accept such a report which is, merely, based on sayings." Dakhlallah said in a statement. " Syria, officially, will Study the report and take the appropriate decision in this regard." The minister clarified. Meantime, Lebanese Presidential media office issued a statement denying what the report claimed that Lebanese President Emile Lahoud received a phone call from Ahmad abdul-Al minutes before the blast which claimed lives of Harriri. " This accusation is baseless and it is a part of continued campaigns against the president and the national responsibilities he shoulders and will continue to do so at this critical stage in Lebanon's history." The statement stressed. Media spokesman of the Charity Projects Society 'Al-Ahbash', Abdul-Qader Fakhani denied any involvement in the killing of Hariri. The Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine-Secretary General Ahmed Jibril denied any involvement of the front in Hariri killing accusing the Israeli MOSAD of attempting to involve his front. In Cairo, Former Assistant Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdulllah al-Ash'al said: " Mehlis report is confused and tries to interject Syria without giving any evidence ." "Mehlis mission is a political task and not judiciary and the report is based on a political conclusion and not on a judiciary one." Al-Ash'al added. |
