The UN report on the investigation on the killing of Hariri is excellently a political report DAMASCUS , Oct. 22 ( SANA) Syria has no relation with the heinous crime of killing of a former Lebanese Premier Rafik Hariri and all accusations it carries are “baseless and incredible,” Syrian ambassador in Washington Imad Mostafa said yesterday evening, adding: “ Syria is determined to uncover the truth.” “ The UN report on the investigation on the killing of Hariri is excellently a political report that lacks evidences and facts to be presented regarding such a crime.” Mostafa said in a statement. He indicated that we have to know identity of the witness who was mentioned in the report and that Zoheir al- Siddiq story is fake and baseless. “The report didn’t help Lebanon and the world reaching the truth but rather it created an atmosphere of lies, stories, rumors and misleadings depending on stories of tendentious people who want to harm Syria politically.” Mostafa emphasized. The ambassador underlined that the report includes a number of unreasonable contradictions and gaps and the United States’s officials have began to speak about the report’s summery since a year until now. “ Syria has fully cooperated with the international investigation because uncovering the truth of Hariri assassination falls in Syria ’s interest.” The ambassador concluded.
