Above Law!
In a recent Syrian-Egyptian Summit, Presidents Assad and Mubarak called upon the UN Security Council to work as to compel Israel to implement UN Security Council resolutions without double standards as the only guarantee for halting deterioration in the situation creating the conducive atmosphere to salvage Mideast process of peace on all tracks. Actually, as deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, Farouk Sharaa’ addressed the UN General assembly on Sept.15 " the United Nations has adopted hundreds of resolutions which Israel refused to implement in a stark challenge to the will of international community." "Israel’s contempt of international legitimacy has reached a point that invoked the disapproval and anger of the public opinion, " Israel has indeed been above law since its imposition upon
the region indigenous by a UN Resolution. Thus among the UN resolutions it
violated and ignored, not to mention 28 UN Security Council resolutions, are:1.
Resolution 106: "... 'condemns' Israel for Gaza raid" 2. Resolution 111:
"...'condemns' Israel for raid on Syria that killed fifty-six people" 3.
Resolution 127: "...'recommends' Israel suspend its 'no-man's zone' in
Jerusalem". 4. Resolution 162: "...'urges' Israel to comply with UN decisions"
5. Resolution 171: "...determines flagrant violations' by Israel in its attack

Lebanon" "Just and comprehensive peace in our region cannot be achieved except by the implementation of the resolutions of International legitimacy which stress the Israeli withdrawal from all Arab territories occupied by Israel since 1967, and of the safeguarding of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and including the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital." Mr. Sharaa’ reiterated to New York’s based UN General Assembly. Will the leopard change its spots?
